Death took the life of one Akwa United's fan In a car crash on road to Enyimba match, for the Saturday's top fight fixture.
The crash was reported to happened around the Ekparakwa junction in Akwa ibom en route Port Harcourt to meet Enyimba who have won the African champions two-times ever. As gathered
"Our faithful supporters were travelling on their way to Port Harcourt on the Akwa starlet bus for the game in Port Harcourt when they suddenly suffered a brake failure," according to the club's spokesman Mr. Uwem Ekoh told BBC Sport that;
"The bus in which the fans were in suffered brake failure then flipped over on the road, in the process one of our fans got badly hit so he in died in the process, several other fans also sustained serious injuries.
"The incidence happened around 30 minutes after they left the town of Uyo, so supporters were left with no option but to return home for immediate medical attention and checkups."
